I recently came across an excellent quote by science historian Dr. James Hannam:
“Although we condemn flat-Earth thinking as an example of foolish ignorance, a spherical Earth is actually counterintuitive. It’s such a radical idea that it has been ‘discovered’ only once, in Athens after 400 BCE. The concept of the Earth being round didn’t appear in any other civilisation. India and the Islamic world learnt it from the Greeks, while China had to wait until the Jesuits arrived in the 16th century and turned the Chinese view of the Universe upside down.”

I'm in love with different people's quotes living in different times, they all have interesting perception... I usually try to check https://www.quoteidea.com/ to look for inspiring quotes, which encourage me and empower to act, to have goals and to be purposeful. Sometimes, I feel that these quotes are even more helpful than the support of my friends.
On the other hand, not all quotes seem to be that inspiring and truthful, some of them are quite depressing and they just humiliate those reading them...
Generally speaking, flat Earth is a huge topic to be discussed and I really feel that there are many people having different opinion on it:) -

that's true, but the author of this quote seems to be right, I mean, we discovered only once, no one else didn't use critical thinking to refute it

the whole idea of someone thinking that the Earth is flat just makes me laugh, to be honest
